It’s been an extraordinary year, and artist Grayson Perry has a plan to mark it, with a spectacular new exhibition of the public’s lockdown artworks, in the magical setting of Bristol Museum & Art Gallery. In this special one-off episode Grayson goes on the road, taking us behind the scenes at the Museum as he oversees the creation of the new Art Club exhibition, and visiting some of his best-loved contributors at home. This year he received more than 17,000 submissions from the public, and all of his favourites, along with works created by leading artists and celebrities, are heading to Bristol to form a lasting artistic record of the experiences of the nation this year. He and his wife Philippa unveil the exhibition to some of the participating artists, both members of the public and some of his famous Art Club guests, including Boy George and Johnny Vegas. The exhibition is open to the public from December 4th, and promises to be a joyful and moving celebration of the artistic talent, and the resilient spirit, of the people of the UK in 2021.
